Advertising Job Postings
The Three Tier System
All employment vacancies where advertising is requested on the job posting submission form will be advertised according to the Three Tier System. This system of advertising both manages costs and optimizes the promotion of VIU's career opportunities.
All institutional career opportunities are posted on the VIU Human Resources website.

Outside Tier System
Advertising requests not falling within the parameters of the Three Tier system should be submitted on a Communications job request form. These exceptional requests will be managed by the Communications office and must include the submitting department’s cost centre to cover the cost of this additional advertising.
A job request is considered a call for action, if cost estimates are required before an ad is placed, a specific request should be made to that effect.
